LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
All students admitted to the program must meet one of the following English language requirements in order to begin their undergraduate studies:
* TOEFL iBT: 79 (4 in new system)
** PTE: 59 (with a minimum score of 50 in each section)
*TOEFL results obtained on or after 21 January 2026 will be evaluated according to the new TOEFL scoring system.
** The updated score requirements for the PTE Academic examination will take effect starting from the 2026–2027 Fall Semester and will not apply to students who enrolled before this date.
Students who do not meet the above English language requirements at the time of final registration will be enrolled in the Preparatory Program at the ITU School of Foreign Languages. The maximum duration of the preparatory program is 2 years.
TOEFL iBT and PTE test results obtained in Türkiye are only considered valid if they are taken at examination centers of public (state) universities.
The validity period of TOEFL iBT test results is 2 years.
